Flash: More women getting into ranks of 100k plus earners. Double Flash: Biggest gains for over 100k women in Washington D.C.

Now why would the big salaries for women come out so well in D.C.? ONE GUESS. U.S. Government jobs are the highest paid, most secure jobs in America. Like we didn’t know that already.

In other words, our “servants,” as so many like to call themselves, are more highly paid, more secure in their jobs and get far better benefits than their employers – meaning the rest of us.

And while many Americans have been displaced, had pay cuts and cuts in benefits, our “servants” in Washington have grown in numbers, pay and perks. That’s not just in this economy called a recession, it’s been happening for years, since so many American jobs have been going overseas.

While American factories have closed in droves, their jobs going to other countries who gobble them up while they smile and shaft us, Washington has celebrated MORE jobs, HIGHER pay, BETTER benefits.

No wonder Americans are outraged. Washington promises us everything but gives us nothing but debt and unemployment while keeping all the best life has to offer for themselves.

So why do we pump this dry hole in one insignificant blog? Because there’s one thing that seems never to change. Americans have been fed up before. And what do they do? Vote for the best actor. Most never look at issues. Or if they try to, it’s information hard to come by. What pops up most in the popular news is Lady Gaga-style nonsense.

And once respected media, notably today Forbes, comes up with drivel like the most powerful women in the world. FORBES, namesake of the ultra-conservative Steve Forbes, has declared Gaga the 7th most powerful woman in the world. Why? She has a daily audience of 25 million on Facebook and Twitter.

May God save America from such power! And such “educational” media as once-respected Forbes.

DuhNooz rides agin!

Headline: Fired USDA official receives apologies from White House, Vilsack (WP)
Ain’t it fun t’watch people eat crow? Specially them puffed up fokes in the gummint whut spends s’much time with CYA? An the puffed ups at talk about’em on whut passes fer news on TV? One day everbody jist falls in line an’ joins in with some blogger who’s railroadin’ at nice lady, Shirley Sherrod frum the agriculture department. Next day, crow gobblin’ time. Duhh.

Quote frum NYT: “The Library of Congress recently announced that it will be acquiring — and permanently storing — the entire archive of public Twitter posts since 2006.” Now ain’t we all jist s’proud uf our liberry uf congress? An don’t we all look forward t’our children an our children’s children bein’ able t’go t’the liberry an read all at Twitterin? An’ don’t we all jist enjoy hearin about our tax money bein’ spen so wisely? Could we git a double Duhh? DUHH-H-H!

Headline: Facebook Tops 500 Million Users
Now wait jist a minute. Didn some pollin’ outfit jist say Facebook wuz voted most hated? An wouldn’ at mean 500 million fokes love t’love whut thay hate? An’ could all ‘em fokes spendin’ s’much time doodlin’ on Facebook have sumpm’ t’do with s’many people bein’ outta work? Duhh.

Three of every four oil and gas lobbyists worked for federal government (WP) Whut!? Fokes at use’ta work for the gummint are now pullin down big salaries workin’ fer big oil, gittin’ gummint favors fer’em? Well, I never! Who would’a thunk it? Ye don’t spose thairs any former gummint fokes lobbyin’ fer big pharma or big ag (them big cumpnies at passes fer farmers) do ye? Does at mean the smartest people git outta gummint? An if so, whut kind uv gummint workers would be left t’dream up more paperwork fer us t’fill out? Duhh!

We jist hafta git back t’that ole boy Thomas Paine on this’un. ‘Member he said back air in 1792, when fathers wuz first bein promoted t’forefathers, “Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil” –The Rights of Man (1792)

DuhNooz concentrates on gluttons fer punishment.

People hate Facebook. At crazy thang. 400 million people are signed up fer it, but hate it? At’s whut a survey says. Here’s all ‘ese fokes who put all ‘ey’re secrets on Facebook, trustin’ Facebook t’keep at least a secret or two, an the Internet giant blabs all. Duhh. Ain’t there sumpm wrong thair somewhair? Is it the fokes or Facebook or the survey people at’s gluttons fer punishment?

The Obama gang fires first an’ thinks later. At lady whut got caught sayin sumpm at seemed racist about helpin’ or not helpin’ a farmer because she’s black an he’s white? Turns out whut the lady, Shirley Sherrod, said wuz jist the opposite. Now the gimmint’s gon have a investigation? But she gits her job back? Anybody confused?

An the NAACP says ‘ey got snookered inta sayin’ some bad thangs about the lady too. An all iss got started by some blogger jist tryin’ t’stir up trubble. Well now. At clears it all up. How could sumpm on the Internet be wrong? Good gracious, fokes! Ain’t everthang y’read on the Internet spose t’be true? An don’t the gummint spose t’make important decisions based on at truth? Duhh. Anybody wanna count how many gluttons fer punishment we got here?

An how ’bout them Republicans? ‘Ey’re so smart. Pick a fight over gummint spendin’ and how do they do it? Why, hold up jobless benefits with a big filibuster. Now at shore makes’em popular. Talk about pickin’ the right battles! At oughtta jist shoo’em in when we have elections in November. Dubble Duhhhhh. Dubble gluttons fer punishment.

The Obama gang agin: DaddyO’s gonna tell Prime Minister David Cameron whut fer in at case uv the British lettin’ the Lockerby bomber go. Least at’s whut some a’the press said. Ebm said BP had sumpm t’do with it. So whut did the Pres & the Prime talk about? Why the real important stuff. Cold beer versus warm beer, whether their children kept their bedrooms cleaned up and the England-United States World Cup soccer match that ended in a tie. Shore sounded like a real whut fer t’me. Duhh. Is the press all gluttons fer it, er jist some of’em?

Cue Siggy. Like at ole boy Siggy said when he invented the slip, “…we men… find reality generally quite unsatisfactory” – Sigmund Freud, Psychoanalysis (1910)

Listen up, fokes. Here’s DuhNooz fer t’day.

Obama’s Drillin’ Recess
People whut work them oil rigs at Obama shut down with his time-out on offshore drillin’ upset? Why wouldat be? DaddyO says he’s gonna make BP pay all ‘eyre salaries. An we all know his word is his bond. Course he didn’ say how he’s gone do that. Would it be kick ‘eyer butts? Soon’s he figgers out whose t’kick?

But maybe he won’t hafta dirty up his shoe. Ey say it’s only gonna be about 3 million bucks a month. An BP’s been so obedient so far at they’ll jist fork it over soon’s ey’ hear he’d like’em t’do that. An he’s gone be talkin to’em next week, ain’t he?

Well, soon’s he does, maybe they’ll remind him at somebody’s got ta’pay fer the down time all em oil rigs outtair in the Gulf are gonna have. An ey’ll probly volunteer t’pay f’that too. Jist so the rigs don’ have to be moved t’some other country t’pay f’themselves.

Ah me, fokes. I hate t’spoil all ese dreams’a paid vacation time the oil workers are lookin’ forward to, but ain’t it about time fer a big duh? DUH-H!

Karzai Said To Doubt West Can Defeat Taliban
Whut? DaddyO’s good friend Karzai of Afghanistan doubtin’ him? Could at be cause we been fightin’ over thair f’more than eight years an ain’t done it yet? Shorely not. Don’t Kman realize who he’s dealin’ with? The great DaddyO jist ain’t had time t’preach the right speech yet. Jist wait’ll he does. Zaayup. At’ll git’em.

Could I git a big duh? A real big’un now. DUH-H

Help with Facebook, Please.
I been thankin bout puttin up my own Facebook page. But don’tchy havta putcher pitcher on it? I don’t wanna use a cliche, but whut the heck. People say I do at so well. I tried goin’ on TV once, an they wuz very nice about no. Said I had a perfick face f’radio, an I oughtta go thair. Or somewhair, long as it wuz else.

But since all ‘em people on Facebook at say they’re friends don’t ebm know each other, y’thank maybe I could git by with usin’ somebody else’s pitcher? Like maybe DaddyO’s? Or Lady Gaga’s? I know a girl who says she use’ta be Ga’s friend before she made it so big, an she says Ga has a copyright on it. Can y’do that? Well I guess. They do copyright cartoon characters, don’tay?

Now shorely thair ain’ nobody gonna Duh that. Woulday?

Like at ole boy Siggy said when he invented the slip, “…we men… find reality generally quite unsatisfactory” – Sigmund Freud, Psychoanalysis (1910)

DuhNooz rides again!

Roger Miller said in a song, “You Can’t Roller Skate in a Buffalo Herd.” Seems obvious. But people try. Not literally, but they do stupid stuff that amounts to about the same idiocy.

Like they go on social sites, type in vital info on themselves, even secret stuff they would never want their parents or closest friends to know, then they’re surprised and shocked when their secrets go flittering through cyberspace like confetti on a New York parade. Duh-h.

Why do people do that? Because they’re herd animals. Intelligence doesn’t seem to matter. They all follow the herd. It takes that to be accepted… they think. But like human predators in the old west preyed on buffalo herds and big cats prey on wildebeest herds, human predators prey on the human herd animal everywhere.

But the prey keeps on doing what attracts the predator. Over and over. Buffalo, wildebeest, human. Makes no difference.

Herd people get little cards at Supermarkets and Drug Stores. Cards they use for alleged discounts. They’re not getting discounts off regular prices. but off inflated prices. What are they really getting? The chance to share their personal buying habits with the stores and with manufacturers who supply the stores… otherwise known as predators.

So whatever happened to privacy? Stolen? Nah. It hasn’t been stolen. It’s been given up willingly.

Remember the pay phone? It used to be in a private booth. You could get in the booth, close the door and have a private conversation. Now people use cell phones in the middle of crowds, and talk about private stuff as if they were alone. Now when you do see a pay phone it’s out in the open with just enough cover to cover the phone, not you.

Share on Myspace and Facebook? Myspace isn’t your space, people. It’s their space. Facebook is your faee alright, but somebody else is using your face for whatever pleases them, not you. And what pleases them is money and power.

Sellers of junk of all kinds have been sharing information on their suckers… er… customers for longer than anybody can remember. You buy something from one catalog, you strangely start being bombarded with other catalogs. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that your name and address has been sold. And not just your name and address, but your buying habits. What you’re buying, how much you’re spending, anything else that can be extracted from the info you’ve given up freely.

Now you think you’re going to go on a website, give up your deepest, darkest secrets, photos, videos, life history… and nobody else is gonna know what you said, wrote, spilled out of your soul? Duh-h.

But there’s hope, herd. Time to try again. Four college guys have come up with a new, encrypted, super-private way to share your deepest secrets, but still keep them secret. So now we have… aha! The solution! It’s called Diaspora…4478 backers, $168,019 pledged of a $10,000 goal. Because of what? Pay careful attention. These guys want to share their lives, their vital info, and help others do so, but don’t want to be controlled by a giant corporation. That means Facebook. And unlike Facebook, their new way will keep your shared stuff secret. They promise.

We can hear the hoof beats of the herd already. Roller skates are being oiled. The herd is already donating money to these four guys they don’t know. Just can’t wait to line up and share their secret information.

Cause this time… This time, they’ve found four guys they don’t know who’re gonna keep their secret stuff really secret. Duh-h.

I hear there wuz a big glitch in the stock market yestiddy, so I looked in the New York Times for the scoop on it. Turns out stocks fallin’ over 900 points in 2 shakes of a lamb’s tail, an’ people losin’ billions’a dollars wadn’ nuthin compared t’the real calamity.

An’ whut wuz the real calamity you ask? Well jist looky here:

Ri’tare in the NYT wuz this scary piece: “Facebook Glitch Brings New Privacy Worries”

Here’s the thang. “On Wednesday, users discovered a glitch that gave them access to supposedly private information in the accounts of their Facebook friends, like chat conversations.”

Dang! Y’mean all my friend’ve found out whut I really been sayin’ about’em? I never thought I’d live t’see the day! Here’s whut jist one man had t’say… “Facebook has become more scary than fun,” said Jeffrey P. Ament, 35, a government contractor who lives in Rockville, Md.

Mr. Ament said he was so fed up with Facebook that he deleted his account this week after three years of using the service. “Every week there seems to be a new privacy update or change, and I just can’t keep up with it.”

An fokes, air’s a smart man. He’s a gummint contractor’n all. If he’s been spendin’ all at time with the thang f’three years, an he’s got problems with it, there’s REAL trouble in th’world.

Stock market be damned! (Sorry mama, I jist had t’use the REAL D word at time). Billions a’dollars ain’t nuthin in the face’a Facebook glitches. An’ messin’ up ‘at big gummint contractor! Well, he coulda had atomic secrets in his Facebook vault. I mean everbody knows it’s safe t’put your whole life in’air.

The Times went on… “Facebook said it did not think the security hole, which was open a few hours, would have a lasting impact on the company’s reputation.”

I shore hope not. I’d shore hate t’thank whut the world would come to if we couldn’ trust Facebook. I mean th’banks fell in a hole. The gummint’s been stretchin’ the truth (I’m tryin t’be polite, now) f’years an years. An’ everbody knows ‘em boys on Wall Street’s got our numbers. ‘Ey stole ALL our numbers so long ago that we all jist got numb an’ don’t expect nuthin’ else.
So when Facebook came along, I thought I could face life anew. But now? Life’s jist a big question mark agin.

It’s like Siggy said a long time ago. “…we men… find reality generally quite unsatisfactory” –Sigmund Freud, Psychoanalysis (1910)
